Late September, Expat Lit accepted my Georges Bataille inspired poem ‘milk & eggs’. I made my debut there on Thursday evening. As you can see from the screenshot, it has done superbly! I have had a barrage of excellent feedback.
I will share a portion of the poem below, along with the link to the poem itself.
“oh, the hushed haemorrhaging of you. we must do away with old fashioned values. they call us lecherous and that may be true, but they are the liars.” – milk & eggs
Born and raised in the North of England, Courtenay Schembri Gray reared her head as a budding poet with a penchant for the macabre. After finding a kinship in the rich verse of Sylvia Plath, Courtenay has amassed a grand amount of publishing credits. Her poetry collection, The Maggot on Maple Street, was published by Anxiety Press in 2023. Twitter: @courtenaywrites Website: www.courtenayscorner.com
